Welcome our 3 lodges 2 are  Situated in the historic village of Rudyard, in the county of Staffordshire, these delightful self catering lodges boast views of sunny meadows leading down to Rudyard Lake, walks across stunning countryside and waterways giving easy access to the peak district, wild life parks, horse riding centres, water based activities and of course Alton Towers.

We accept 2,3 and 4 night breaks as well as 7 to 14 nights. Christmas is booked usually 2 years in advance 

The third little lodge is 20 mins away in Cheshire, at the foot of the Peak District with in its own woodland its a couples get away and a perfect secluded escape for a 2 or 3 night stay, please have a look. 


Internally these lodges are  warm and comfortable in Meadowview with one kingsize and one twin bedroom. It boasts two shower rooms, one of which in en-suite. In the main living area a wood burning stove provides toasty nights in after dipping in the private hot tub under the stars. Comfy leather sofas provide cosy times in front of the flat screen TV dvd and restricted internet (due to speed) or you could just gaze out at the wildlife.  


Internally Woodlands View is warm and comfortable with one kingsize and one twin bedroom. The double has an en suite toilet with wash basin.  There is also a large, wheelchair friendly shower room with another toilet and hand basin. In the main living area are comfy Laura Ashley sofas to relax on in front of the flat screen TV / with the full sky package and  DVD, and there’s also a dining area and a well equipped kitchen.


Upon leaving the chalet to the rear, is seating with the hot tub. Here is an ideal place to enjoy the stars and the idyllic view across the meadow to the woods and the lake beyond. the lake can be seen in the winter but is occluded by the foliage in the summer. The hot tub is roomy and sumptuous, making it ideal for relaxation in winter or summer, day or evening. What better way to relax after a busy day enjoying the local area. both lodges have basic barbecue stands on site for cooking al fresco with your foil based barbecues. The woods lead on a gently sloping path to Rudyard Lake where an array of water activities are available. The local cafe is well known for its delicious breakfasts.


Both lodges have enclosed gardens so if you have brought your  4 legged friends with you not only are you surrounded by some fantastic walks but your Pet can be safe in its own grounds.

The lodges sit just to the side of Rudyard village which has just one small shop. This is excellent for essentials such as milk, bread and eggs but lacks major meal making produce. A short drive away is the market  town of Leek which has several major supermarkets and local shops but it is best to come prepared for your first evening at least.

Both lodges have hot tubs 2 bedrooms and fully equipped kitchens and great views, Meadowview has a stunning log burning stove and ensuite bathroom in the master bedroom as well as a family shower room. Woodlands has an ensuite toilet in the master bedroom as well as a family shower room it is also all on one level for persons who have mobility issures, furthe of the 2 lodges Woodlands probably has a slightly more open  view (saves standing to see it) as the tub is set to the side of the lodge. 

The lodges themselves are fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, glassware and a range of implements for the home cook and staples such as salt and pepper and cooking oil. There is a selection of delivery menus and restaurant information. 

Just a 5 minute walk away from the lodge you’ll find the Hotel Rudyard, which boasts a carvery every day which is  good value for money.  There’s also a very reasonable bar menu, and numerous draft beers for sale. A 40 min walk 7 min drive is  the market town of Leek which has numerous pubs and restaurants and small shops.
